Ghoul School is Back!
ENROLLMENT CLOSES FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 1
In GHOUL SCHOOL we will read Alice Notley’s 2011 classic Songs and Stories of the Ghouls out loud together over the course of 4 weeks to help us think through questions like what does it mean to raze the city—in myth—through the medium of language? We will unmake our way with Notley through the different strata of “civilization’s” conquests, deaths, war, and occupations. Songs and Stories of the Ghouls can help us learn the tools of destruction and poiesis.
Each meeting will have an hour dedicated to reading aloud and discussion of the text, and an hour of writing and sharing work.
Meetings will take place on zoom every Monday in September (9/4, 9/11, 9/18, 9/25) from 7-9pm ET. This course will be capped at 15 participants. Price is $150, but no one will be turned away for lack of funds. Please contact Zoe at zdtuck@gmail.com for sliding scale options.
